Michael Carter is a retired combat veteran, former military K9 handler and instructor, and current Deputy Supervisor with a Texas sheriff’s office. With decades of experience working alongside service dogs in high-stress environments, Michael brings practical, real-world insight into canine behavior, training, and the bond between handlers and their dogs.

After serving his country in combat operations as a K9 handler, Michael transitioned into law enforcement, where he continues to serve his community while overseeing and mentoring K9 teams. His work emphasizes discipline, trust, humane training methods, and the ethical treatment of working dogs—both on and off duty.

A devoted husband and father of three, Michael shares a lifelong love of animals with his sister, Emily Carter-Hale. Together, they advocate for responsible pet ownership, public education, and the protection of animals from neglect, abuse, and misinformation.
